Let the bounty of the season inspire your next dining experience.
With this cornfield luncheon we brought a well deserved break of corn-inspired delicious beauty to those working in the field one particularly deep-Summer day. Take off your hat (brim up), wipe your brow (bandana style), have a tall glass of iced tea and a big heaping of cold corn salad. A perfectly cool meal for a perfectly hot day in a perfectly perfect place.
Think outside the dining room. Make a memory.
A light lavender table, farmhouse chairs and handmade quilts for napping plopped right in the middle of the cornfield.
A two-tiered handmade corn cob chandelier by katherine sandoz was hoisted above the table, not for shade but for conversation.
White milk glass bud vases, hand-torn purple ticking napkins and an antique pewter pitcher packed with purple heather decorate the table.
An extra pitcher of tea resting on a farmhouse chair was hidden between the rows to quench the thirst of anyone who found themselves wandering away from the party to steal a kiss or take a piss.
Catch the team in action as we set up for this very special luncheon.
